CDS Group designs and manufactures lift-up hood furnaces for industrial thermal processing applications where controlled heating, flexible loading and reliable access to the furnace hearth are required.
Lift-up hood furnaces, also known as lift-off hood furnaces, top hat furnaces or bell furnaces, use a vertically moving hood that raises away from the hearth or base. This gives operators clear access to the load area for placing, positioning and removing products, making them well suited to large, heavy or complex components that are difficult to load into a conventional chamber furnace. Top hat and hood furnace designs are commonly used where good access to the usable furnace space is required, and can be configured with fixed hearths, moving bases or multiple loading stations depending on the process.
