ENVIROCURE™ E2 CONCRETE CURING SYSTEMS
Envirocure™ E2 is the next evolution in concrete curing from CDS Curing. Designed for precast, block and architectural concrete product manufacturers, it transforms curing from a fixed utility process into a controlled, measurable and energy-efficient curing environment.
By managing airflow, temperature, humidity and dew point within a fully integrated system, Envirocure E2 supports improved curing consistency, lower energy use, reduced waste and lower CO₂ intensity. More than a curing system, Envirocure E2 is the Net Zero Platform for concrete production, redefining how energy, heat and process efficiency are managed across the entire curing cycle.
WHY CHOSE ENVIROCURE E2
Most concrete plants do not have a curing problem. They have a curing control problem.
Traditional steam curing can be energy-intensive, water-intensive and difficult to control consistently. Envirocure E2 has been developed to help manufacturers move beyond the limitations of steam and take greater control of the curing process.
By retaining and reusing heat, reducing unnecessary steam reliance and precisely controlling airflow, humidity and temperature, Envirocure E2 supports improved product consistency, lower energy demand, reduced waste and lower CO₂ emissions.
KEY ADVANTAGES OF E2
- Improved curing control
Precise control of airflow, temperature, humidity and dew point helps create a more stable and repeatable curing environment. - Optimised energy savings
Retained heat, controlled recirculation and reduced steam reliance help lower fuel consumption and improve overall process efficiency. - Lower CO₂ intensity
By reducing energy demand, water use, reject rates and unnecessary process waste, Envirocure E2 helps manufacturers reduce the carbon impact of curing without changing the concrete product itself. - Enhanced safety
CDS Gas-Safe continuously monitors gas levels in the airstream to help protect people, equipment and production environments. - Rapid Action Doors
The new CDS Rapid Action Doors are lighter, easier to install and designed for simpler maintenance and repair. - Process visibility and control
PLC/HMI control helps operators manage airflow, doors, curing conditions and system performance more easily.
CASE STUDIES
Envirocure E2 Case Study: Western Materials
Concrete masonry production depends on tightly controlled curing conditions to support consistent product quality, early-age strength and repeatable manufacturing performance.
At Western Materials in Yakima, Washington, a conventional steam-based curing system was replaced with CDS Envirocure E2, an airflow-driven concrete curing system designed to deliver heat and moisture more efficiently to the product.
By moving away from steam saturation and using controlled re-circulation, temperature management and balanced humidity control, the system reduced typical energy demand by approximately 82%, while supporting improved process stability, fewer surface defects, lower maintenance requirements and greater operational visibility through PLC and HMI control.
Lower energy demand also supports reduced CO₂ emissions, helping demonstrate how engineered curing can improve plant performance and carbon efficiency without changing the concrete product itself.
